Work to construct a new pedestrian and cyclist Toucan crossing on Westfield Way has now begun and is expected to be complete by early April. The crossing will allow both pedestrians and cyclists to cross Westfield Way safely at the same time.
Temporary off-peak traffic lights will be in place whilst the work is carried out. The road will be closed briefly while some resurfacing works are done, but these will be completed overnight in order to keep disruption to a minimum. This is expected to take place over a few evenings towards the end of March/beginning of April. Pedestrian and emergency access will be maintained to all properties and businesses at all times.
