Installation of Queens Drive Toucan Crossing

Work started on Tuesday 26th June to remove the existing Pelican pedestrian crossing and replace it with a Toucan crossing.  Sections of the road will also be re-surfaced and the central reservation will be widened to accommodate cyclists.   It should take between six and eight weeks and some lane closures will be in place outside of peak traffic hours.

The upgrade will allow both pedestrians and cyclists to cross Queens Drive safely at the same time.
