This is not a guided ride, but an opportunity for you (and your friends and family) to explore some of Swindon’s extensive cycle path network. Back by popular demand, it’s a great chance to enjoy some fresh air and exercise with the family this Easter.
Hop on your bikes this Easter to explore Swindon’s cycle paths with a free cycle orienteering challenge! Back by popular demand, Swindon Cycle Campaign have organised the event to encourage people to explore their local area by bike. With a cycle orienteering map you can navigate your way around Swindon on traffic-free cycle paths and discover so much more from the saddle of your bike.
As part of a group or as an individual you can choose between 1, 2 or 3 hour rides (must be finished by 3pm). Collect orienteering points along the way and hand your points cards in at the checkpoint when you finish – prizes awarded for the three highest scores in each time category.
All you need is a roadworthy bike, but we have volunteers on site to check it’s safe to ride. We also recommended that you carry a pump and a spare inner tube or puncture repair kit just in case!
