Come on a free Guided Tour of Radnor Street Cemetery
Radnor Street Cemetery opened in 1881 and closed during the 1970s. The site covers approximately 11½ acres and contains 33,000 burials including the great and the good of Swindon society. There are 104 CWGC graves tended by our volunteers. There are also a great many unmarked public graves reflecting the poor, working class families who could not afford either a burial plot nor a monument.
Meet at the chapel in the centre of the cemetery, booking not required.
Please wear sensible shoes as the paths are often uneven
