ABOUT THE ROUTE:

We are riding from Moulden Hill, Swindon to the Gateway Centre at the Cotswold Water Park mostly on National Cycle Network route 45 with some quiet back roads.

We head out from Moulden Hill towards Cricklade via back roads and the NCN.
After a short bit of road in Cricklade we turn left and rejoin the NCN again and that takes us all the way to the Spine Road where we make a right and follow the cycle paths to our coffee & pizza stop.

The route is mainly flat and suitable for all ages. You may want to avoid narrow road tyres due to the surface of some of the paths. There are some gates to navigate but we help each other through.

We’ll stop at Pizza 720/ the Gateway cafe so please bring some money/ plastic if you would like to join us.

Please bring clothing suitable for the weather, a drink and snack, a spare inner tube to fit your bike and a pump. If your wheels are bolted on then a spanner that fits the nuts is also essential. Helmets are not compulsory but most definitely recommended.

We may trace our steps back or find another cycle friendly route home to add to the variety and if the path is too muddy we will ride up the quiet back roads via Ashton Keynes and Cerney Wick.
