Wednesday wander to Wanborough – Wednesday 21st October 2020
October 21 @ 10:00 am - 11:40 am
This 10 mile steady (mainly road) route ticks every box in terms of idyllic roads, countryside scenery and meandering cycle paths.
We will begin at Coate Water Country Park and head south on country lanes through Badbury Wick and to the quaint village of Liddington. The road builds up throughout in a very shallow climb before you emerge at Wanborough to a short descent into the village. There are plenty of stopping points available here to replenish before heading up north on Wanborough Rd to Covingham. From here the route ventures off the country roads and onto the cycle paths as you meander your way through Dorcan, down to The Great Western Hospital and back alongside Marlborough Road to Coate Water Country Park.
