These bike rides are ideal for those ready to push on from our Wheels 4 All sessions and are looking to build their confidence using the cycle paths around Swindon. We encourage anyone who may have a physical and / or learning disability who is looking to build their bike experience to attend these rides. Our guided ride leaders will make sure everyone is safe and having fun whilst out and about.
This is a great route along a mix of cycle paths and quiet roads. Although it has been specifically been designed for single rider adapted bikes the route can be enjoyed by everyone. The route is flat with one short incline around 3 miles in and takes in some of the best cycling routes Swindon has to offer. Boasting green spaces the route explores the path to old Wiltshire and Berkshire Canal. Unfortunately the route isn’t suitable for side by side companion bikes and some adapted tandems may be too long to negotiate the staggered gates. We have access to a wide range of specially constructed bikes which may may be borrowed for this ride. These bikes include hand bikes, recumbents, tandems, side by side tandems and trikes.
