When it is time for you to receive your vaccination, most people will be invited via a letter, either from their GP or the NHS.  This letter should include all the information you will need to book appointments, including your NHS number. A list of all the current local vaccination sites is being regularly updated on the government website.

The expectation is that most patients should make their own way to and from the vaccination sites and this page outlines the options available for you to reach them. If you are unable to drive yourself, or get a lift from a family member, you may be able to walk, cycle, take a taxi, or use public transport.

The journey planner on the Swindon Travel Choices website allows people to choose public transport options to get to each site and also shows the most suitable walking and cycling routes. Cycle route maps for Swindon are available to download here.

To assist residents in getting to vaccination sites more easily via bus, all Concessionary Bus Pass holders will be able to travel free of charge on buses at any time of day until further notice. Further information on bus fares and passes is available here. If your best option to get to your appointment is via train, you can find out more about local rail services, including ticketing options, here.

Please remember to follow the Government’s safer travel guidance when travelling to your appointment.
