Moredon Sports Hub is set to open in winter 2021!

Moredon Sports Hub will be the location for a closed-circuit cycle track providing 1.2km of safe, traffic-free ‘road’ cycling; a first for Swindon. The site will also see a new BMX pump track and a cyclo-cross route . The Moredon Sports Hub will be a first-class cycling facility for the Parish, Swindon, and the South-West.

A new pavilion will house a café, youth room, club room, and changing facilities, supporting the delivery of sport and leisure at the venue, and providing space for community groups, events, and activities, as well as a home for local football, cricket, croquet, and cycling clubs. The Parish is additionally exploring options to provide a 35-station gym and fitness studio.

This is all thanks to the recent granting of some key funding from British Cycling and years of hard work from Swindon Cycle Campaign volunteers.
