Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme expanding in 2022

Energy Saving Trust are delivering free webinars for owners of multi-residential units to support them accessing the new government Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS) grant to install electric vehicle chargepoints for residents. The webinar will include scheme criteria, the application process, chargepoint options, funding models and case study speakers.

The Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) will be reforming the EVHS in early 2022 to accelerate chargepoint provision in apartment blocks and rental accommodation.

The reformed grant scheme will include:

• Allow non-resident building owners
Including landlords and social housing providers, to apply for an EVHS grant of up to £350 available per socket towards the cost of a
chargepoint, with a limit of 200 applications per year per applicant

• Provide help for owners of apartment blocks
To provision the building’s associated parking with chargepoints – up to £30,000 available per building towards the cost of installing chargepoints, with a limit of 30 applications per year per applicant.
