Borrow a Bike Scheme

Are you tempted to try cycling but you don’t want to pay out for a bike just yet?  The “Borrow a Bike” scheme may be just what you need.

People who live in certain areas or new developments are eligible to borrow a bike for up to 6 weeks.

There’s a range of bikes available to suit all needs, including electric bikes, male and female hybrid bikes (a cross between a road bike and a mountain bike), folding bikes and child seats.  The bikes come with locks and lights, pannier bags and you can borrow a helmet if required.

After the loan period, you will have to return the bike, and if you’ve enjoyed the experience, we can help signpost you to discounted bikes, or apply for a bike through the Cycle to Work scheme if your employer participates.

The loan scheme is subject to terms and conditions.  You will be asked to agree to these before starting your loan period.  We also have a privacy notice to let you know how we use the data you provide for the scheme.

Think you might give it a go?  Fill out the application here.
