About the scheme
Whether it’s taking the kids to school, getting to work or just riding for leisure, there’s no better time to give cycling a go!
In conjunction with the developer, Swindon Travel Choices are offering your household a chance to try cycling for FREE for 6 weeks.
You can choose between a hybrid bike, electric bike or folding bike. It’s a £25 deposit for the bike (or £75 for an electric bike) which is refundable when the bike is returned after 6 weeks.
All bikes come with accessories- lock, lights, hi-viz vest, helmet and pannier bags. You can also try a child seat or child trailer to help transport little ones (£10 extra deposit required).
Types of bikes
Standard Hybrid
A good all-round bike suitable for commuting on road and off-road leisure rides. (£25 deposit)
Open Frame Hybrid – Ladies style frame.
A good all-round bike suitable for commuting on road and off-road leisure rides. (£25 deposit)
Electric bike – Hybrid style bike with electrical assistance. Great for people who’d like some help cycling up hills or when it gets tough. (£75 deposit)
Folding bike – Ideal for those travelling by public transport as well by bike, also for people with limited space to store a bike. (£25 deposit)

One of the team check your eligibility and will contact you to arrange a collection date. We will also be happy to answer any questions if you are unsure about the type of bike you require.
After the Scheme:
We’d like to help you continue cycling after the loan period, so we can offer you a discount voucher towards the price of a bike. Or we can advise you on how to get your own bike through offers such as the Cycle to Work Scheme. We will require you to complete a survey after your loan to measure the impact of the scheme and help us improve.
