These sessions are designed for children of Primary school/pre-school age to help them learn how to ride a bike independently (sessions for older children/adults can be arranged separately).
All sessions are held outdoors in the safe, traffic- free environment of the County Ground Athletics Track, behind Foundation Park. Paul Ashman and Jennifer Purcell are our qualified coaches who have a wealth of experience in teaching children to ride.
Please bring along a suitably sized bike for your child to learn to ride on, along with a helmet. If this is not possible, there may be a limited number of bikes and helmets available – these must be booked in advance, please get in touch with Paul Ashman to book this if required (paulashmancycling@gmail.com). All riders must wear a helmet to take part in the sessions.
Please ensure children are wearing suitable shoes and clothing for cycling and the weather conditions. Sun cream, water and snacks are advisable.
Various times / days are available – please book at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/swindon-cycle-campaign-61575400583
Please allow plenty of time to get to the venue and aim to arrive 15 minutes before the course actually starts.
