About this ride

Join the celebrations for the 80th Anniversary of D-Day by joining us on this ride to two airfields that were very much part of the D-Day story. Starting in Shrivenham we will be visiting RAF Blakehill Farm and at RAF Down Ampney you get to stand on what’s left of the runaway used by Dakotas 80 years ago.

We will be on country roads the whole time

We will take refreshments in Cricklade.

We welcome first timers on our guided rides. However this ride is for experienced cyclists who can ride at an average 11-12mph and keep riding for three hours. If this isn’t you why not look up our other less challenging rides
