These sessions are for Primary school children to help them develop confidence on a bike or learn how to ride a bike independently. They will be led by British Cycling coaches who are experienced at running fun and engaging cycling sessions for children.
It is an exciting opportunity to be some of the first children to ride on the dedicated new traffic-free cycle track, before the site officially opens to the public!
Bikes and helmets will be available on site, however we do encourage participants to bring their own bikes and helmets where possible. All riders must wear a helmet to take part in the sessions.
There is a choice of two different types of session you can sign your child up to:
- Learn to Ride session – for children who cannot ride a bike without stabilisers
- Cycle Skills session – for children who can ride a bike independently (without stabilisers). This is a fun and engaging sessions to help improve your child’s confidence on two wheels. It will include braking, bike handling, gears etc.
Sessions are in slots between 12.30pm and 5.15pm – Open for booking now via https://www.eventbrite.co.uk
