It’s St George’s day, so we are off to slay a dragon. The nearest one is Dragon Hill to the White Horse at Uffington. So we will will tackle the approx 500 foot over 0.6 mile; When we did it before everyone, even our slowest riders, made it to the top then celebrated with coffee at a local hostelry.
The route uses B roads and country lanes.
Don’t forget a full water bottle with your favourite thirst quencher. For all our rides you should bring at least a spare inner tube and a pump. If your wheels are bolted-on then a spanner that fits the wheel nuts is also essential. Helmets are not compulsory but most definitely recommended. You should dress appropriately for the weather, (GLOVES) and consider bringing your mobile phone along with cash or debit card for the refreshment stop. Some place’s only take card payments.
