Register for Brake’s Kids Walk 2023

Road safety for primary schoolchildren
We’re pleased to announce that registrations are now open to take part in Brake’s Kids Walk 2023 on Wednesday 14 June.

This is our biggest project for primary school-aged children, with thousands joining in each year to learn important road safety messages and shout out for their right to make safe and healthy journeys.

Schools and youth groups are invited to sign up now for a free action pack and to walk in their local community and share important road safety messages.

Why is Brake’s Kids Walk important?

Children of all ages are at risk of being hurt or killed when walking near roads. On average, six children are killed or seriously injured on UK roads every day – that’s equivalent to a whole class of children every single week.

Brake’s Kids Walk is a great way to engage children with road safety issues, promote the benefits of walking, and raise awareness among parents and the wider community about the need to protect children on roads.

SCHOOLS – Sign up now for your free action pack

This year’s Brake’s Kids Walk teaching resources will again feature Aardman’s much-loved Shaun the Sheep characters, bringing lots of fun to the learning.

Printed action packs will be posted out to schools and youth groups for free on a first-come, first-served basis so sign up now to avoid disappointment. They will include:

  • Lesson plans
  • Assemblies
  • Activities
  • Posters
And much more. Resources will be available online to download and print.

Brake would like to say a huge thank you to esure for sponsoring Brake’s Kids Walk for a third year running. This partnership enables us to offer free resources to help the children you support to learn important road safety skills.
