Walk to School Week 2024
Planning is underway for Walk to School Week 2024, courtesy of Living Streets!
This week-long celebration of the walk to school will take place 20-24 May 2024 but schools can take part anytime during the school year by ordering ‘The Magic of Walking’ classroom packs now – packs are undated!
Classroom packs contain resources for up to 30 pupils and are available in KS1/P1-3 and KS2/P4-7 variants, featuring differing, age-appropriate curriculum-aligned activities.
INSIDE EACH PACK YOU’LL FIND:
- Teacher guidance
- One double-sided classroom wallchart / pledge poster
- Daily stickers for pupils and wallchart
- 30 pupil activity diaries
- 30 end of week pupil rewards

It’s not just about the schools, though. Parents can get involved too. The Living Streets walking activity booklet for families features 14 sets of activities for families with primary school-aged children. There’s a walking activity diary for families featuring 5 activities to complete on any week while on your walks to school or from home. Each resource sheet includes activity variants for the little ones and for older children to support their learning of important themes while staying active. It’s all free to download.
