NCN Route 45 that links Taw Hill with the Western Flyer is closed from 4th September 2023 until Autumn 2024, which will affect the West Swindon round.
The West Swindon Round is a circular route of 7 miles around the tarmac paths of West Swindon. The route takes you through Westlea, Toothill, Freshbrook, Grange Park, Middlelease and Peatmoor, whilst connecting with Route 45 and the Western Flyer. You can join the route at any part and travel its length in any direction.

The route is a combination of traffic-free concrete paths, gravelled Route 45 and quiet streets. There are red stickers on the lamp posts to help you navigate this route on the ground. You can divert off this route to enjoy the delights of Lydiard Park, Shaw Forest and Peatmoor Lagoon.
