Here's a round up of good practice being achieved by Swindon's organisations in implementing good travel plans.
Wichelstowe LLP have been implementing a travel plan at the 3000-home development of Wichelstowe since 2020. Reaching national “Very good” travel plan accreditation standard from Modeshift STARS in 2023, it is now striving to upgrade to “Excellent” (Gold) in 2025.

Nationwide has been implementing a travel plan at the 239-home development of Oakfield since 2023. Reaching “Very good” travel plan under the Modeshift STARS national accreditation in 2024, it is now striving to upgrade to “Excellent” (Gold) in the next few years.

Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust are the first business in Swindon to apply for “Very good” (Silver) level national accreditation for their travel plan. Travel planning was core to the operations when the hospital first opened and remains so today. In line with their low carbon commitments, the hospital is working towards its “Excellent” (Gold) standard accreditation.

Haydonleigh Primary School has achieved the highest standard of travel plan accreditation on Modeshift STARS, winning “School of the region” and competing at national level with a trip to the Houses of Parliament!
